Cunning brothers engulfed within the Mexican War of Independence; they acted both as spies for Spain and revolutionaries for Mexico while taking stance on Galveston island. Two brothers, collectively known as “Number 13”.
Number 13 Prime Steak and Seafood was born from a vision of what life on Galveston Island once was. Set on Offatts Bayou and surrounded by lush tropical foliage in Pelican Rest Marina, the restaurant is a modern take on what the Lafitte brothers may have liked to call their home.
The restaurant has been designed to include culturally rich pieces, luxurious details and the perfect mix of upscale dining and casual elegance.
Head Chef & Partner Eric Nelson is the driving force behind everything at Number 13. He developed the menus, spearheaded the architectural elements and design and helped lead the team to create a restaurant brimming with exciting elements. Everything from the sauces on the menus to the forks in the place settings were hand chosen or developed by Eric to form a cohesive mix of upscale steakhouse dining and a comfortable experience.
Eric has worked in the culinary industry for more than a decade. His creativity and design infiltrates everything he touches. His unique take on cuisine makes for interesting elements in every dish on the menu.
